Holistic MassageMy massage is never the same. I cannot do massage by numbers. It would bore me. As a therapist, I am interested in you, in what has brought you to me, in what has happened to bring about pain or tension in your body, in how it manifests itself in you. And in how I can make you feel better.
I work normally quite deeply – soft massage is, in my opinion, utterly ineffective. If you like gentle massage such as given out in a thousand spas up and down the country each day, do not come to me.
Come to me if you want me to break down held tensions, finding areas of the body that are not functioning as they should be, or with the freedom that they need. This deep work brings a much deeper sense of relaxation to the body. Some of it can be painful but it is a ‘good pain’ and I always respect your tolerance for this kind of work. I promise you, you will leave feeling 10 times better than when you arrive.
I work a lot with people who do sport – swimmers, runners, kick boxers, tennis players. I try to heal their injuries or help to prevent injury. I love stretching them in ways they cannot stretch themselves (and they love it too).
Most often, though, I treat those whose lives are largely sedentary, office workers who get RSI or tensions in the back, shoulders, neck and arms – or in the glutes and back leg muscles from sitting too long. We were not meant to live like this but most of us do now and the body suffers. Having a massage is a remarkably effective and pleasurable way of taking that pain away. Try it some time.

Holistic MassageHolistic Massage has been known and used for thousands of years as one of the most beneficial ways of keeping the body free from stress and illness
Holistic means considering the complete person, mind, body and spirit.
Massage improves circulation, bringing fresh oxygen and nutrients to the body’s cells, helps to eliminate toxins and releases muscular tension and stress.
When the body is allowed to relax it can begin to heal itself. Holistic massage can help to heal on many levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Having regular massage treatments can ease minor aches and pains and can help to prevent many common ailments and symptoms of stress such as headaches, insomnia, anxiety, repetitive strain injury and general fatigue.
One hour full body massage is available or 30 minute back, neck and shoulder massage.
Pregnancy Massage
This treatment is a blend of holistic massage and shiatsu techniques that will support and nurture you through the huge physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.
