Craniosacral therapy brings your body into closer touch with its own healing resources. All kinds of illness or injury - major, minor and emotional - have disturbing effects on the body's detailed structure and function, many of which persist even when the original trouble has apparently eased. These injuries include the effects of birth itself (often the first significant trauma you experienced), as well as operations or dental treatment.
Reactions to recent injury can be effectively treated, but Craniosacral therapy can also uncover and unwind old patterns of tissue resistance and congestion which have a chronic effect on both physical and emotional health. The treatment is extremely gentle and works on a subtle but profound level: the experience is often like being tuned. Treatment can help strengthen the immune system and provide support in chronic illness. It is a powerful approach where the body is disempowered through emotional stress or over-use (such as RSI, vocal strain, etc).
Craniosacral therapy is a very productive approach with children, and can help many with developmental and behavioural issues. All young babies can readily benefit, and a little early treatment may help prevent long-term problems which may arise from any degree of birth trauma. Treatment can also help you to cope better with pregnancy and childbirth, and postnatally

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle yet extremely powerful healing therapy that can influence deeply held physical and psychological patterns of disease which accumulate throughout life as a result of injury, trauma and illness.
Practitioners gently place their hands on areas of the body, ‘tuning-in’ to deep subtle rhythmic flows, helping them become more balanced, clearer and stronger which in turn facilitates a return to health.
A wide range of acute and chronic conditions - physical aches and pains or emotional issues - can be helped by craniosacral therapy.
It is particularly valuable for:
- Back and joint injuries and problems
- Chronic illnesses such as ME and RSI
- Stress and related illnesses
- Gynaecological issues such as PCO, menopause, PMS
- Prenatal support
- Recovery post accidents or trauma
